St. Oswald’s Retreat is your private home away from home, set apart where those serving in Pastoral ministry can come to escape the rigours of everyday life.
Offering all the modern conveniences of a home plus a car, allowing you to rekindle the fires of your passion for God, family and ministry.
facilities
St. Oswald’s is a fully equiped two bedroom, two bathroom converted church.
It has all the modern facilities and comforts one could desire.
These facilities include: linen, electricity, water, firewood, and a vehicle to use at your convenience.

pricing
We want to bless you. Please understand that there are costs associated to the operation of St Oswald’s. Therefore, we ask for a donation to cover these costs while you enjoy your stay, so we can continue to bless others.
For example:
One Week – $200 plus $200 cleaning fee
Two Weeks – $400 plus $200 cleaning fee
Three Weeks – $600 plus $200 cleaning fee. PLEASE NOTE:
Also: There is a maximum of a 3 week stay.

vehicle
A vehicle is available to you, to use free of charge, at St. Oswald’s Retreat. It is a Toyota Tarago and has seven (7) seats. It is an automatic vehicle.
A two-fold requirement to use the vehicle free of charge is:
NOTE: This deposit will be refunded immediately upon completion of your stay. Reminder:
A vehicle is available to you, to use free of charge, at St. Oswald’s Retreat. It is a Toyota Tarago and has seven (7) seats. It is an automatic vehicle.
A two-fold requirement to use the vehicle free of charge is:- A Driver’s Licence for each driver
- A security deposit of $1,000 to cover the excess of an insurance claim. (This deposit is only contingent upon the car being returned without any major damage and in working order).
NOTE: This deposit will be refunded immediately upon completion of your stay. Reminder:
- Please check the oil as it is not a new car.
- Please leave the tank full for the next guests.
getting there
Tunbridge is an hour from Launceston and an hour fifteen from Hobart.
If you are arriving by air, please indicate if you would like to be collected from either Launceston or Hobart airports. There is a $100 airport transfer fee. This goes entirely to your driver. It is a two hour drive from The Spirit of Tasmania Terminal in Devonport. See Google Maps
